Thank you for visiting, here you’ll discover our journey from Swansea to Llandudno, following 600 miles of the beautiful Welsh coastline as I raise funds for ParkinsonsUK.
ParkinsonsUK is a fantastic charity that helps combat this neurodegenerative disease by funding essential research, as well as providing information and support to sufferers and their families. I have been inspired by my Nana who has had Parkinson's Disease for over 20 years, 5 weeks of hiking is nothing in comparison!
I have hiked all around the world on my travels and having grown up in Wales, I am used to the outdoors and the wet weather. 10 years ago I moved to London to study Biomedical Science at King’s College London, moving onto my world travels where I volunteered, learn’t Spanish and French, and enjoyed all that life has to offer. Now back in London I play rugby for the King's Cross Steelers and dance with the GMDC. I work in property development which allows me to have the flexibility to do crazy things like this!
Tegwen is now 2 years old and although born in London she’s Welsh at heart. Her name meaning ‘cute’ and ‘blessed’ depicts exactly who she is! She’s very affectionate, sociable and likes chasing squirrels. I’m more than confident that she’ll love this walk and be able to keep up, if anything it will be me needing more rest.
I hope you enjoy following us on our travels around Wales. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions, would like to sponsor us or help feed/host us along our walk!
Have a great day,
Tom and Tegwen
