Hi! I'm Tom, born and raised in Wales, now living in London. I'm raising money for Parkinson's UK for my Nana by walking 600 miles of the Welsh coastline from Swansea to Llandudno with my cockapoo, Tegwen.

What is Parkinson's Disease?

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.

The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000. That's around 1 adult in every 350.

Why is ParkinsonsUK awesome?

ParkinsonsUK hosts a range of great services for those with Parkinson's and their families. These include a helpline, support groups and an excellent website full of useful information to help maintain a healthy and balanced life.

They give advice on dealing with the symptoms, money issues, carers and legal rights. As well as supporting an online community to bring sufferers together to share their experiences.

As the largest charity fundraiser of Parkinson's research in Europe, they have invested over £85 million in development treatments and a cure.

And lastly,

This epic walk is dedicated to my Nana and the 1 in 350 people that this disease affects. As well as the families and friends who are also affected.

Together we can create a better life for those with Parkinson's now and for those who may one day be diagnosed.
